But after John's death, their carefully laid plans begin to unravel when his inheritance vanishes and terrifying supernatural events plague the isolated estate. As ghostly apparitions, séances and mounting paranoia drive the lovers toward madness, they are forced to question whether John's vengeful spirit has truly returned from the grave—or whether a far more sinister deception is at work. Riccardo Freda's Gothic chiller blends murder, betrayal and spectral terror with unforgettable atmosphere, newly restored in 4K from the original negative.
