Raised by his strict Catholic father, Yu turns to photographing women from beneath their skirts in an increasingly desperate attempt to seek forgiveness for his sins. His life changes when he meets Yoko, a rebellious young woman who becomes the love of his life, but their relationship is complicated by family trauma, religious obsession and the manipulations of the enigmatic Aya. Spanning four extraordinary hours, Sion Sono’s Love Exposure is an audacious blend of romance, coming-of-age drama, dark comedy, crime and religious satire.
