Icarus offers a breathtaking reimagining of Greek mythology through a beautifully animated adventure from former Pixar animator Carlo Vogele in his feature directorial debut. On the island of Crete, the curious young Icarus, son of the brilliant inventor Daedalus, spends his days exploring the world surrounding the palace of Knossos until he uncovers a closely guarded secret: a lonely child with the head of a bull imprisoned by order of King Minos. Defying authority, Icarus befriends the young minotaur Asterion, forging a bond that will challenge fate itself.

When Asterion is imprisoned within the legendary labyrinth, Icarus embarks on a courageous journey to rescue his friend and alter a destiny seemingly written by the gods. Combining mythology, adventure, friendship, and emotional storytelling, the film presents a fresh perspective on one of antiquity's most enduring legends while delivering stunning independent animation that earned Luxembourg's submission for the 2023 Academy Awards.
