A crime wave is sweeping Rome and no-one's safe; fighting back, the Police take the gloves off. A special squad is formed to hit the villains, and its members include a pair of fearless/ reckless supercops played by Marc Porel (Don't Torture a Duckling) and Ray Lovelock (Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue) – licensed to do whatever they damn well want, crushing crime by any means necessary.

Kicking off with an all-time motorbike chase and then accelerating into even higher gears, Live Like a Cop, Die Like a Man is one of the most infamous and brutal Italian cop films of the 1970s, showing Deodato's taste for going further than everyone else. An essential example of Euro Action (and a great favourite of Quentin Tarantino), now finally available on stunning 4K UHD.

LIMITED EDITION FEATURES:

DOUBLE-WALLED O-RING FEATURING NEW ARTWORK BY GRAHAM HUMPHREYS

REMOVABLE U-CARD LEAVING THE O-RING FREE OF CERTIFICATES AND MARKINGS

BOOKLET NOTES BY FRANCESCO MASSACCESI

SPECIAL FEATURES:

4K Remaster From the original camera negatives Presented In Ultra High Definition (2160p) In 1.85:1 Aspect Ratio

Presented In High Dynamic Range (HDR10)

High Definition (1080p) Blu-Ray In 1.85:1 Aspect Ratio Also Included

English 2.0 LPCM Stereo with Optional SDH Subtitles

Italian 2.0 LPCM Mono with newly translated English subtitles

Audio Commentary by Eugenio Ercolani, Nathaniel Thompson and Troy Howarth

Alvaro, Memmo, Sandro and Mario - Interview with Cinematographer Davide Mancori

Live Like a Cop, Evolve into a Cannibal - Interview with Italian Cinema Expert Eugenio Ercolani

Continiello, An Undiscovered Continent - Interview with Pierpaolo De Sanctis on Composer Ubaldo Continiello

Deodato: Heaven or Hell - Portraits of Ruggero Deodato featuring interviews with Ruggero Deodato, Umberto Lenzi, Eugenio Alabiso, Massimo Antonello Geleng and more

To Live and Die in the Closet - Interview with Film Historian Andrea Meroni

The Bullets, The Crime and the Gore - Poliziotteschi Cinema from the Masters of Italian Horror

Ruggero Deodato: Typically Atypical - Video Essay by Mike Foster

Italian Opening Credits

Image Gallery

English Trailer

TECHNICAL SPECS:

Region Code: ABC/B

Picture: Ultra High Definition (2160p) in 1.85:1 aspect ratio Dolby Vision High Dynamic Range (HDR10 Compatible)

Audio: English 2.0 LPCM Stereo / Italian 2.0 LPCM Mono

Runtime: 96 mins approx.

Language: English/Italian

Subtitles: English

Discs: 2

Directed by: Ruggero Deodato

Starring: Marc Porel, Ray Lovelock, Adolfo Celi

Theatrical Release Date: 1976

Cert: 18

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0597/9878/2001/files/rn-image_picker_lib_temp_60732a91-f0a0-4b4c-9a7b-c0a31934c5c3.jpg?v=1791525927
